Dramatic Wedding

A Wedding that Makes a Statement

Splendor Pond Flower Farm, Mooresville, NC

A dramatic wedding is over the top and editorial. It’s defined by striking details and gothic vibes.

Wedding Venue

Choose a venue that has a large chandelier and dramatic views to make guests feel like they stepped into a magazine shoot.

Wedding Stationery and Signage

Stationery should be elegant with greens and golds, from the invitation suite to the menu cards. Calligraphy should be hand-drawn and formal to elevate the vision.

Signage should include a mirror seating chart to add to the old-world dramatic vibe of the day, and an acrylic welcome sign with gold flakes that doubles as a guest book.

Wedding Attire

For your bridal gown, choose a silky dress with long sleeves and a dramatic, open back that clasps at the top.

For the groom’s attire, go with a dark green suit to match the greens in the stationery and a slightly lighter green tie.

Wedding Flowers

When choosing flowers, choose an oversized, handtied bouquet filled with large white and various shades of pink of pink flowers, accented by gold and greenery. For the boutonniere, use soft light pink greenery as a backdrop and accent with a large pastel pink rose and other pops of pink to match the bouquet, then tie with brown ribbon to keep it neutral.

Wedding Event Spaces

Have your ceremony outdoors in the woods so that you can have the woods as your primary backdrop, adding to the drama. At the altar, place a gold round arch draped with pink fabric. Add some large arbor pieces that match the bouquet and some pillar candles in vases to finish off the dramatic look. Want something for the aisle? Tie aisle markers composed of white fabric, pink roses, and greenery to the chair ends.

Moving into the reception space, choose crisp white tablecloths to cover rectangular farm tables, pink knotted napkins, and green chair sashes tied in a bow for your linens. For the table setting, place a white plate on top of a gold charger, clear glassware, and silver flatware.

Centerpieces for a rectangular tables should be greenery runners accented by pillar candles in hurricane vases, taper candles on gold candlesticks, and green bud vases with pink roses. Identify the table with an acrylic table number, coordinating with the welcome sign.

Wedding Guest Experiences

Wow your guests with a live engraver creating a custom logo for your wedding on champagne flutes, which they can take home and enjoy. You can even toast with these after you cut your cake for a beautiful photo opportunity.

Wedding Cake and Desserts

Speaking of your cake, have your cake artist design a three-tiered white cake accented with pearls and flowers wrapped in white fondant to mimic your silky white wedding dress.

A dramatic wedding is perfect for couples who have a flare for the dramatic and want a more editorial vibe on their big day.
