Industrial Wedding
A Wedding that Feels Personal
The Long Room, Charlotte, NC
An industrial wedding is personal and trendy. It’s defined by brick venues you can make your own and creamy textures.
Wedding Venue
Choose a venue that’s a blank slate but has cool architecture like a refurbished mill to make guests feel like they stepped into an artist’s studio.
Wedding Stationery and Signage
Stationery should have soft textures and be creamy with dark greens and slate grey, from the invitation suite to the menu and place cards.
Signage should include a grey escort card board with individual escort cards, hand drawn by a calligraphy artist, and a pared back welcome sign.
Wedding Attire
For your bridal gown, choose something silky with lace and drama. Bonus points if it has an attached cape that flutters in the wind.
For the groom’s attire, go with a slate grey suit and green tie to match the colors in the stationery, and a white button down shirt for neutral balance.
Wedding Flowers
When choosing flowers, choose a smaller bouquet filled with white flowers, greenery, and slate grey accents, tied loosely with a dark green ribbon that matches the stationery. For the boutonniere, use small white flowers accented by greenery and loose grass for a more eclectic feel.
Wedding Event Spaces
Have your ceremony in front of a brick wall, bringing in the industrial feels of the venue. At the altar, use a wooden rectangular arch draped in greenery, creamy fabric, and Edison bulbs for a stellar backdrop. You can also add meadows to the bases of the arbor if you want additional flowers in the background of your ceremony photos. Want something for the aisle? Tie aisle markers composed of the same flowers as the boutonniere and white ribbon to the chair ends.
Moving into the reception space, choose crisp white tablecloths to cover round tables and dark green napkins for your linens. For the table setting, use a white plate, clear glassware, and silver flatware to stay neutral.
Centerpieces can vary from table to table to add height and dimension, but should be composed as the same flowers as the bridal bouquet and arbor meadows. Identify the table with a table number in the same greens as the stationery.
Wedding Guest Experiences
Wow your guests with an elevated late night coffee bar, complete with custom coffee sleeves for your guests to marvel over.
For your guestbook, get a pack of vintage-looking postcards for guests to sign and then place in a vintage grey suitcase - matching the colors of the groom’s suit.
Wedding Cake and Desserts
For your cake, stick with the cream and slate grey color palette. Have your cake artist add tons of texture to the design of the cake since your venue also emphasizes texture.
An industrial wedding is perfect for couples who have an artsy vibe and want to make a venue take on their personal style for the big day.
