Alana and Lukas
A Fall Backyard Wedding
Private Home, Littleton, NC
On a warm, beautiful fall day in September 2024, Alana and Lukas said I Do surrounded by 200 family members and friends.
On the morning of the wedding, the wedding party got ready at the venue (separately of course), and were able to relax and spend time with their closest loved ones as they prepared to say I Do.
Pre-Ceremony
The couple chose to lean into the backyard wedding aesthetic and brought on vendors who could enhance the at home vibe.
They chose to do a first touch and read private vows to each other, keeping the moment sentimental and personal.
The ceremony was held outdoors in front of the lake backdrop with a wooden triangular arbor. The arbor was decorated with floral swags that matched the bride’s bouquet. At the beginning of the aisle, the couple set up two wooden doors (covered with a floral garland) so that Alana could still have her grand entrance moment.
Ceremony
The family walked down the aisle to a “Goodness of God” violin cover, and the wedding party processed in to an orchestral cover of “Here I Am”. Alana and her dad walked in to an orchestral cover of “The Distance I’ll Go”.
The ceremony honored the match that God put together and the love that Alana and Lukas share. After the sweet ceremony, they recessed out, followed by their wedding party, and waited at the end to greet and celebrate with their guests.
Cocktail Hour
While the bride, groom, and their families went off to take pictures, guests were invited into the tented area where they could enjoy light bites, yard games, and a cute photo backdrop.
Reception
The reception started off with a bang, with the wedding party and newlyweds entering the dance floor with hype grand entrances.
The couple went straight into their first dance, followed by sweet dances with the bride and her dad, and the groom and his mom.
After the dances, everyone was treated to a southern BBQ buffet for dinner. After dinner, a bridesmaid and a groomsmen gave heartfelt and funny speeches to the couple, wishing them a lifetime of happiness.
After the toasts, the couple cut their cake and then explored the property for some golden hour photos while the dance floor opened.
The couple returned to the dance floor and had the best time. The bride also dedicated her bouquet to her mom as a sweet thank you.
Grand Exit
When it was time to go home, the guests lined the pathway while Alana and Lukas had a last private dance. After, they ran through a canopy of sparklers on the way to their getaway car.
